You should take this picture and print it out like that and ask at the tattoo place you want to get it done if they will be able to do it just like that without an original photo. Some places might be nice enough to do the job but others might say it looks a little complicated unless they have the original picture. You should ask around and see who says what at the different tattoo shops in your area.

That picture is of a temporary tattoo. The equipment is quite different and the process for a permanent tattoo wouldn’t likely produce the same level of contrast and detail. It’s still a really cool tattoo for a young man to have! Ask around, who would be the best tattoo artist in your area to attempt to do it then check out some of their work. Don’t just hire the first artist you meet. Check out at least 3 or 4.

Unless you’re really out in the sticks, most tattoo parlors have at least one computer and know how to use google. Bring them a print out, a thumb drive, etc, and they can probably manipulate it in Photoshop to the appropriate size.

From there, it’s printed on reverse print film, transferred to your skin, and the tattoo artist fills it in about like a coloring book outline.

The caveat, is that it looks like that will be a lot of work. That raises the price, (I paid $ 250 for an Illuminati Diamond,) the other side of that is that the price goes down exponentially if you’re available to show it off in person for them and don’t mind telling anyone where you got it.

One word of advice; getting a tattoo is inexpensive when compared with the cost of removing one. make sure you want it, and will be happy with it for a long time to come.

Question by wvequestrian: Koi fish tattoo, ideas?
I want to get a small koi fish on my ankle to symbolize strength, etc.. I would love for it to be colorful and maybe surrounded by a few stars. It would be great if someone more artistic than myself could draw one, or send me a link to something similar.

I’m not sure if there is someone willing to draw you up one upon request on here but I can give you a couple pointers to think about, as far as color, though the koi may symbolize strength, colors play a part as well, so check out color symbolysm and u can pick up to so many colors to make ur fish colorful. Also, a lot of people who have the koi fish never wants too detailed nor too cartoon like fish, having the in between is what u want so thats up to u to judge. the eyes on the fish give it the mood so make sure if u want it in a certain mood make sure the artist knows to draw u out one. hope that helps

Go traditional with the koi tat, no stars. Cherry blossoms and waterworks give it life. I took important aspects, pics of koi and reason behind the tat to my artist and had him design it. Therefore you get an original and the artists POV.

The first image is the most appealing to me, personally, because the image has a woman carefully worked into it, along with the flowers. And, although a bit small to see well, the Japanese waves are pretty awesome in the last image. A combination of the two would be nice. I’ll have to double-check down at the shop, to see if we have anything similar already, as we are constantly updating our flash. The flash that comes down gets put on disc, and if we don’t already have something similar, I may draw one up. If I do, I’ll send you a copy. Take care.

glad you asked for my opinion. In my opinion, girls will react badly to a man with a hand tattoo. A hand tattoo will show any girl the man just doesn’t care about anything that matters, will never work, and will never amount to anything but maybe a manual laborer or a welfare recipient.

My suggestion, that you also asked for, is to forget about getting tattooed. Stay away from tattoo parlors. Stay away from tattooed people. All are heading down the wrong path–the path to nowhere–a path you do not want to go down.

Here is the image in colour. The lighting in the studio was rather strange, and the tattoo artist would not allow me to take a picture of any part of him that is identifiable because tattooing in Korea is taboo even now that its legal.

Before the outline is placed on her back, she gets a quick rub down with deodorant. Yup, deodorant. Somehow this helps transfer the image that the tattoo artist is going to work off of.
