Here’s another shot from the Crossfit "Fight Gone Bad" event that I shot last weekend. The tattoos on this guy caught my eye and I had to get a shot of him. Tough shot since his back was to the glaring sun! I was tempted to turn on my fill flash and use a faster shutter speed, but I decided to tighten the aperture a little and use a slower speed to add a sense of motion. It was really hot by the time I took this shot and this guy was giving it his all.

"Fight Gone Bad" is an annual fundraiser fitness event and this year it was set up to benefit the Livestrong Foundation, The Wounded Warrior Project & The CrossFit Foundation. I was filling in for a friend of mine who normally shoots for Crossfit around here. As those who peruse my photostream know, I don’t do a lot of people photography and this was a totally new experience. It was tough shooting under the harsh direct sunlight, but I came away with a lot of cool shots. I tried to gather a wide range of participants from yound to old, focusing on the emotion of these folks. They were a passionate bunch and I hope I managed to capture that. This RAW capture was tweaked a bit and exported to JPG through Lightroom.

I went to Paris to stay with my friend, Aurelia. To coincide with my trip, i was to take photos of the not so obvious Paris for a magazine based in Norwich called Partywolf. There will be more photos to come and an article to write up as well.
This was shot at Le Louvre.

Young hearts don’t always beat to standard verse & chorus.
We’ll deviate from your script & fake our own deaths tonight.
We’ve plotted our escape, using these instruments & a corrupt language.
With voices stronger than those projected.
The stage is set, but the set’s a fake.
We refuse to memorise the soundtrack to your racket and i will not choreograph the next distraction.

This is from the shoot we did a whie back for Envosy Mason at the Jett Hotel in Lodo Denver. They did a "Real World" show there a while back and it’s pretty famous for it. Honestly I never seen a real world.
You think I have a lot of Flickr groups.. that’s nothing. I have more URL’s than the Beatles have songs. Yeah… you could say I have a plethora of websites. My current favorite is www.daftphoto.com and if you recall we started following a geeky cute girl at random… but as it turns out she is crazy hot. I had no idea. I mean the first image I saw of her was some Photo booth filtered thing… but no… she is hot like wasabi and has been added to the wish-list (people I’d like to shoot with that is)

So, if you have not met Rachel Barker check out her new images here and let her know that dollen sent you. (as if that will impress her)

Spider Webb was the leading underground artist-practitioner of tattooing during the dark ages in which tattooing was illegal in New York City. This video comes from a performance event pinned as 1983 in time by the US Vice Presidential debate heard occasionally in the background. An eclectic event this video only encompasses a part of the strangeness. Lovely model Nina B. dressed in a wedding gown, her hair colored with hues of the rainbow, especially for the occasion, has her head clipped and shaved by an unwholesomely young Captain Stanley in preparation for a head tattoo of Spider Webb’s signature. Also in attendence was Razor’s Edge icon the model Italia, with her charming young child. The Captain, never having seen Italia with hair, failed to recognize her. Also at the event was the wonderful Annie Sprinkle, a too-short clip of which opens this video. The Captain wants to thank the video crew of “Al Goldstein’s Midnite Blue,” the video arm of SCREW Magazine, especially to video director Albert Jaccoma. v

Female tattoos or feminine designed tattoos are usually favored by women or girls are becoming increasingly familiar as tattooing became more socially acceptable, largely due to the many celebrities who publicly sported tattoos.
