@tattoosuperior1 Hey I have a question, so I did my first tattoo on myself a week ago. It turned out pretty good actually but I had a problem while tattooing, The excess ink was going everywhere and it was getting hard to see the actual needle tip. Why is this happening? I did give a bend to my needle, The ink was making it hard to see where I was actually tattooing. Thx
@redneck0ne that my friend is up to you…I have seen artists use both methods…In my expieriance i have noticed the small the needle grouping the closer that tube gets to the skin….But of course you adjust your spring gap so your not drilling someone either.
i love watching these vids, i have only one question. when tattooing, should the tube tip be touching the skin or not? i mean, do i need to use the tube as a depth guide or keep the tip from touching the client all together?
@atmdc i say a little of both is good! But definetly the needle bar because your rubber bands pull back that bend keeping your needle grouping held against the back of the tube tip.
i personally have my liners just sticking out….As little needle as possible just peeking out of the tube tip. For shading…I like to set my flats or mags in line of the tube tip. The needles should be flush with the tube tip end
Nice informative video there James! Seriously! If you check out some other videos from other people did you notice that your one of very few that are actually wearing gloves! Nice!
Probably the most informative tattoo video I’ve seen on here. He doesn’t just show you what to do, he actually explains the reason for bending the needle. Nice!

is possible for one of the shading needles to bent or even break, this guy using an 11 needle shader bent one of the needles, and why can it happen?

I have heard both not to bend the needle bar and to bend the needle grouping to compensate. and vise versa. which is correct?
